The Research Ethics Committee stewards the integrity of scholarship at the Institute, ensuring that inquiry is conducted with rigour, honesty and respect for those it affects. It upholds the standards that distinguish credible and ethically sound research.
Objective
- To review research proposals for ethical soundness and regulatory compliance.
- To deter plagiarism, fabrication and other forms of research misconduct.
- To protect the rights, welfare and confidentiality of research participants.
- To foster an institutional culture of responsible and transparent research.
