STIPEND AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
AT THE POST GRADUATE LEVEL: Department of Jainology and Comparative Religion and Philosophy, Prakrit and Sanskrit provide free hostel and Rs. 3000/- per month in lieu of meal facilities. The Department of Non-violence and Peace provides need cum merit based scholarship (to be decided by the Vice Chancellor) for 10 months only, maximum for four students of each year.
AT POST GRADUATE LEVEL AND UNDER GRADUATE LEVEL: A limited number of merit- cum-need based scholarships are available for deserving students.The students belonging to SC/ST/OBC are provided assistance and guidance to avail scholarship from Social Welfare Department as per State Govt. norms. The students can also avail the PostGraduate Merit Scholarship Scheme for university under graduate 'Rank Holders' and other Scholarships under UGC Scheme as per UGC guidelines and norms.
FEE EXEMPTION POLICY:
Fee exemption is available to students who are economically weak but are meritorious as per the rules of the Institute.
Note:
(i) 50% concession in Tuition fee in the Regular Programme and 50% concession in Programme Fee in the Distance Programme shall be granted to the spouse and two dependent children of the regular staff members of the JVBI. No concession will be given to staff member for his/her own study.
(ii) 25% concession in Tuition fee in the Regular Programme and 25% concession in the Programme fee in the Distance Programme shall be granted to the spouse and two dependent children of the regular staff members of JVB.
(iii) Sadhus/Sadhvis/Saman/Samanis/Mumukshu etc., who have renounced the worldly possessions are exempted from paying any kind of fee.
(iv) No concession is given in Ph.D programme and other professional courses.
(v) The Institute reserves the right to revise the fees, etc., from time to time.
(vi) If a student secured 91% to 100% marks in class 12th she will be given 100% merit based discount on the tuition fee in first semester. The discount will continue in coming semesters if percentage criteria are maintained in the semester end examination result throughout all the semesters.
(vii) If a student secured 80% to 90% marks in class 12th she will be given 50% merit based discount on the tuition fee in first semester. The discount will continue in coming semesters if percentage criteria are maintained in the semester end examination result throughout all the semesters.
Note : This merit-based waiver shall continue in subsequent Semester only if the student maintains equivalent academic performance as per the University standard.
