Ethics Committee

Introduction

Guided by the values of Jain philosophy, the Ethics Committee at Jain Vishva Bharati Institute (JVBI) oversees the moral and regulatory aspects of all research conducted at the institute.

Our approach is deeply rooted in traditional Jain principles—especially Ahimsa (non-violence and respect for all), Satya (truthfulness and honesty), and Anekantavada (openness to different viewpoints). The committee ensures that every research project is carried out with complete integrity, transparency, and care for human dignity. By balancing modern academic guidelines with our spiritual heritage, we work to protect the rights of research participants and encourage meaningful, responsible scholarship.

Objectives

• Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Ensure institutional research aligns with national ethical guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Protect Research Participants: Ensure the safety, dignity, rights, and privacy of all human subjects involved in research projects.
• Uphold Academic Integrity: Prevent data fabrication, plagiarism, and misrepresentation in scholarly work.
