English
Introduction
JVBI has the post-graduate Department of English, which was started in 2008. Earlier English was taught as a subject at the undergraduate level; later on, it was decided that English should also be taught at the post-graduate level. Right from the beginning, distinguished professors have associated themselves to frame the syllabus of M.A. English. They endeavoured to make it comprehensive, keeping in view the enrichment of knowledge as well as competence in communication skills. It has become a fine amalgamation of Literature and Language, and from time to time the syllabus has been revised according to the need of the time.
