Course Introduction

A doctoral research programme in Sanskrit — A comprehensive programme in Sanskrit language, literature and śāstric (classical) traditions covering grammar (Vyakaran), poetry, philosophy and Vedic studies.

Course Objectives

  • Attain proficiency in Sanskrit grammar, composition and reading.
  • Engage critically with the Vedas, Upanishads, Kavya and Shastra literature.
  • Build skills for translation and interpretation of Sanskrit texts.

Eligibility

Masters Degree in concerned subject with 55% marks and UGC NET (all categories i.e. NET JRF/NET/NET only for Ph.D.).
