M.A. in Sanskrit

Course Introduction

A two-year postgraduate programme in Sanskrit — A comprehensive programme in Sanskrit language, literature and śāstric (classical) traditions covering grammar (Vyakaran), poetry, philosophy and Vedic studies.

Course Objectives

• Attain proficiency in Sanskrit grammar, composition and reading.
• Engage critically with the Vedas, Upanishads, Kavya and Shastra literature.
• Build skills for translation and interpretation of Sanskrit texts.
• Connect classical traditions with contemporary thought.

Eligibility

10+2+3 or its equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate.
